GREETINGS FROM CALIFORNIA. I've read each of your books, and can't wait for Astrid. I especially love that you combine haute couture with the adventures of your heroines. And even more especially, that you wear what you describe in your books. I'd love to have you set a story in Africa, and to read what kinds of clothes you would have your heroine wear while there. Maybe in company with an elephant or giraffe....all the best in 2024.

Your substack always brightens my day. Thanks for taking the plunge. Wishing you all the best as you pivot away from what separates you from the joy of life.

Hi Natasha … I’m in Perth - I’m a reader only (not remotely a writer) and have read all your books. I follow your FB but I find the longer form and thoughtfulness of your substack of greatest value - not just because of what you give to it but also because of the attentiveness and intentionality that I bring to reading it, which acts as a pause and reset for me also.

I had a substack break second half of 2023 but am returning for 2024.

I write this from Geordie Bay (you’ll know it) - my place of peace and restoration!

All the best for 2024.

Love this post. Best comment on burnout I ever heard belongs to Meg Washington who when asked why she hadn’t recorded for a while said she was “soaking the beans.” Great to hear you’ve rested and returned. And love the story behind Maggie Smith’s book (adds to TBR super stack).

Thanks for so generously sharing your journey, Natasha. Taking time off is wise, and doing it in place which gives you such joy and inspiration even wiser! Wishing you all good things for 2024!

Wow ... this is beautiful, Natasha. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Yes, let's make this place beautiful. I love that. Your post has helped give me a bit more of a framework for my thinking for 2024 ... I like that you've noticed that book sales aren't dependent on your social media presence. I've just deleted my Insta as I find it just leads to too much unnecessary distraction and much prefer Substack letters as a form of honest communication.

Well done on staying with the MP's. Yours sound so unlike mine at present. But interestingly, the other day, I started writing story notes in my MP, so maybe that will be a new thing for me in '24.

And here's to jumping into the surf in your knickers and bra! And not caring if someone sees you.

Thank you for bringing such lightness and inspiration to my Saturday.

Big love xx

Hi Natasha , I really enjoy catching up with you on Substack and usually follow up on your recommendations . Do continue .

I feel a close affiliation with you , living in Perth and attending most of your book launches .

As you get much older, it’s good belonging to a group of likeminded people on line .

Hello from London UK. I love your books and I must admit I use a mix of physical book and audiobooks to “read” your publications! I’ve now read every book you’ve written - actually that’s not true I haven’t read your first book, which in complete honesty is just not for me. Anyway I’m waiting for you next wonderful book and was delighted to hear you have 6 titles in you head - heaven for me! Happy New Year from London UK
