Great blog! You are such an amazing storyteller and have such a way with words. The women of the resistance were so resilient, strong, bright and brave. It is rather unfortunate that they have been neglected for years. Your books bring to life. For that : Merci beaucoup! À bientôt!
Merci! It breaks my heart to read about some of the members of Marie-Madeline's network, how much they gave and yet how overlooked they are. People were extraordinarily heroic and unselfish during the war and I'm lucky that I get to be inspired by them.
Congrats Natasha! Your humility and your passion for your writing is inspiring. It’s awesome that you bring forward women from history to be recognised and remembered. I can’t wait to read your upcoming books.
Firstly congratulations 🎉- was there ever any doubt! Secondly, Marie-Madeleine’s life sounds fascinating and in your more than capable literary hands, it will come to life for us readers. So grateful. Finally, Adele Astaire. She was a side character is a book I read not so long ago (can’t remember the name) but I do recall at the time thinking there would be so much more to her story.
My goodness Natasha I hope you never run out of ideas! Her story sounds amazing, so great that you are bringing these women to life. Would you ever consider changing genres even for one book?
Congratulations on your new deal, what a relief, for you and us readers, your books automatically get bumped up on the read list for my bookclub. Can’t wait for Astrid and waiting (impatiently) for your new ones.
Wow! to you Natasha on so many levels. What a fantastic blog you have to share this week. I’m very excited for you and ... to read you’re going to be sharing another exciting story in the future, is wonderful news. I just love all your books and think they are the best each time I read your latest. Enjoy your celebrations of your successes. Congratulations.
Congratulations!! What very exciting news! I can confirm that Marie-Madeleine is the subject of the book I have been working on as well. Her story is just incredible and living in Aix I feel her presence everywhere. As an aspiring novelist, I must admit I feel a bit defeated knowing such an incredible and very well-known author has already written a book on the same subject, but as a reader I couldn’t be more thrilled to have this book to look forward to. I can’t wait to see what you do with her incredible story and for your readers to discover this absolute powerhouse of a woman!
I thought it might be! And yes, Aix is imbued with Marie-Madeline for sure. I loved following in her footsteps there last year and hunting out the barracks and tracking her escape from there and finding the place where she was living. But there is always plenty of room for books about incredible women like this so please don't feel defeated - she's the kind of woman who deserves to have lots of books about her.
Wow, looking forward to meeting Marie-Madeline.Thank you Natasha. I love the way you "take us there" in your books; so engaging and inspiring. You are such a brilliant writer, and I am so grateful that you share your gift with us.
Hello! I wish women would not call themselves’lucky’ for their accomplishments. You achieved this through writing what you loved and targeting your audience - not luck!
You're right - but I do know there is a certain degree of luck involved in publishing. It's why I always say there are 3 things you need - talent, hard work and luck. The luck won't find you if you don't do the first two, which I definitely do try to do as much as I can!
How exciting!! You are such an inspiration! Such an encouraging role model, thank you for sharing your writing life. I love watching you soar from strength to strength. Keep writing xx

Yes, it's such an interesting story. I didn't even know Fred had a sister until I read the book. And thank you!

This is such a lovely comment to read - thank you so much!
Thank you for the great news of more books I can share with Grandma, and she can reminisce and give me new information about war times.
I love that! Sharing books with people we love is the best!
