Multi-award winning author. Definitely! I also love the blue dress. Stunning and gorgeous.
Natasha, I spent all my paid professional life as a teacher and uni lecturer, encouraging my students to unashamedly celebrate the gifts they have. It lifts my spirit to see you modeling that behaviour. Bless you.
Your B Comments are special. Delightful. Playfull. Honest. Authentic. All these special character traits play out in your characters. As I previously said: You take us there.
I am loaning my collection of your books (one at a time), to an 84 year old widower (dear) friend of mine and he is also now "hooked on Natasha Lester." He says the stories bring tears; I assure him that is OK!
It is a monthly joy to receive your musings and news. Can't thank you enough. Stay well. And free in
Hello Natasha. I have fallen into school holidays here and catching up on all my reading. If you think The Disappearance of Astrid Bricard is your best yet, then I am surely counting the days! Exciting. Congratulations on your award - celebrate it proudly.
Was so much fun to speak with you recently. Loved the story behind your best vintage dress, and can't wait to share more of your stories on the podcast soon. xx
I think good fashion is always in style - the blue dress in your author photo is proof! How wonderful to have such a beautiful 1950s dress in your collection. If you had said it was a recent design, I would have believed you. The design elements are still popular today. And...do I spy some pockets? More dresses need pockets.
Well, I think Esmee could be selected as one of the Parisian models chosen to travel to Australia for the 1948 David Jones fashion parades - either she has her adventure then or decides to return a later date to complete some unfinished business.
I love Claire McCardell - if you don't already know, her seminal book "What Shall I Wear" was reprinted in 2022 with a forward by Tory Burch. Her fashion both sensible and whimsical.
It’s certainly a busy month for you! I can relate with having just proofread my debut novel for my publisher, trying to finish my next book and working on an article I want to write for a online journal. I long for the days when I was brand new to writing and devoted solely to my passion project (now safely tucked away in a box). It seems a writer’s work is never done.🤷♀️
Thank you SO much for finding time to read Duck in your *very* busy month (and Jojo Moyes - wowie!) You're such an inspiration. I feel so honoured x
