I just finished your book and I’m absolutely in awe of her and all the research you did to bring her to us. Thank you! She will be remembered along with our two great uncles who perished in 1944 💔❤️
The whole of your book & the amazing story of Marie-Madeleine’s bravery left the deepest impression on me! As well as her actions, the incredible love she had for her Eagle & totally heartbreaking loss of him. Well done Natasha for highlighting to the wider world what a key role she & her agents played in enabling D-Day. I was thinking of her on the 6th!
What a wonderful story of courage and determination. I did wonder what happened to her husband in Morocco. Did she ever marry again? Your books are getting better and better Natasha. Can’t wait for the next one. My mother’s cousin was one of the engineers who invented the floating dock used on D Day so I have always been interested in that history. Had no idea of that amazing map. Your research is incredible. Well done.
Her husband in Morocco actually joined the French Resistance and worked for them in North Africa during the war. And yes, she remarried after the war to another man who'd worked in the Resistance.
Marie Madeleine was such a brave and amazing woman squeezing herself into a mail bag what an experience loved your book Natasha looking forward to the next one 😊
I love your passion for this woman, and for sharing her story, thank you Natasha! As soon as I finish my bookclub book, yours is next in my TBR. And a huge congrats on the next book - how very exciting! :-)

Thanks Nadine. And gosh, so sorry about your great-uncles. War is a terrible, terrible thing and its repercussions are felt for generations.

I'm so happy to hear that you were thinking of her, Andrea!
I had no idea. This is astonishing. Shows how dogged willpower and single minded self-belief can lead a woman! Bravo Natasha for shining a light x
Thank you Kate!!
I still wonder how on earth she did that! Squeeze her way out of that cell. Getting into a suitcase yes, but cell bars. Wow!
I know! She must have been so painfully thin and so doggedly determined too!
