Everyone’s views on books is so interesting! Same As it Ever Was is getting rave reviews, it was a DNF for me. It was a book club choice and usually I’m the odd one out, but this time none of the group enjoyed this book. It was too long and Julia was such a hard character to love and spend so much time with. But happy that so many people are enjoying it!
Julia was difficult at times - like I say, I wanted to shake her occasionally. I definitely understand why this book would have people who love it and those who don’t. But the ending was perfection!
I LOVED Same As It Ever Was SO much!!! Like you I don't watch much TV but will keep Black Doves in mind. Gorgeous photos in this newsletter!! Excited to chat to you about your new book soon :) x
It’s an installation! But it looks so real doesn’t it? It’s at The Grounds in Alexandria - they do beautiful themed installations every couple of months.
Natasha, my granddaughter lives in Sydney, she loves Megan Hess's books Claris The Mouse and she went to that Installation for her 6th birthday last month, she was in heaven ❤️
Natasha I also loved Black Doves. And I believe it may go into a second season. Yippee. I'm so happy that we are able to host you at Avalon Community Library on your NSW tour. We already have a few bookings. So looking forward to reading THE MADEMOISELLE ALLIANCE. See you in April. Regards Meg Dunn

Can anyone come to the Sorrento Writers session, I live between Brighton and Sorrento in Melbourne, trying to work out which venue to come to.
Yes, you can buy tickets to separate sessions. My session with Sally Hepworth and Dervla MacTiernan is sold out, but there are still tickets left to my session with Belinda Alexandra: https://sorrentowritersfestival.com.au/artfuel/program/399/show/world-war-fiction-for-novelists-its-an-ongoing-rich-and-dramatic-landscape
I really enjoyed watching Black Doves too, it was so entertaining for a short series. You just don’t know what’s really happening around us
Exactly! I can’t wait for the second season now!
Absolutely loved Same As It Ever Was Natasha
Have you read her first book? I want to read that one now.
Not yet but I have requested it at the library

What is that beautiful pink floral tree you are sitting under? Good luck with your launch.
