I decided to break my usual monthly update into two parts this month because I have a lot of news to share with you about the book tour for THE MADEMOISELLE ALLIANCE! Yay!! And the email was starting to get way too long, so this is Part 1, with Part 2 to come later in the month, which will be more of a regular update rather than just a long list of dates.
But first, can we just take a moment to marvel at this video? My publishing team at Hachette really are the best and I have to confess to getting goosebumps when looking at this video—even though it’s my own book and I know what happens! 😂
Make sure you have your sound on! What do you think?
Right, let’s get onto the most important thing—the book tour!
I’ve been getting lots of emails from readers asking me where I’ll be going and when events will open for booking and I love that you’re all so enthusiastic. Thank you! It makes me feel like there will be people in the room at each event and I won’t be talking to myself. I know it seems like I should be over having worries like that by this point, but when I look at how many events I have on, I do get a little bit concerned about whether there could possibly be enough Natasha Lester readers out there to fill up each one. So prove me wrong!
And I’m really heartened by the fact that two events have somehow already sold out even before I’ve started promoting them. Thank you again! I actually emailed my publicist when I was putting all the links together and asked her to get the organisers to make sure they activated the booking links, because I thought it was a technical problem, not that the events were really sold out already! So I’m letting all of you, as my loyal newsletter subscribers, know the dates so you can book your tickets before I start promoting the events on social media over the next week or so.
All of which makes me think this is going to be a very fun book tour. I can’t wait to meet more readers, sign lots of books, answer all of your questions and talk about THE MADEMOISELLE ALLIANCE with you, a book I’m hugely proud of and that I hope you’ll love. We’ve tried to time most of the events for before Mother’s Day, so you can get signed copies to give as gifts for all the gorgeous mums in your life.
And for my US readers, UK readers and other international readers—apologies that this newsletter is so Australia-centric. I promise the next one will be back to normal programming. But you also might like to know that I’m coming to the US! For one event only, as part of the Historical Novel Society Conference in Las Vegas, of all places! I’ve never been to Vegas, but I bet it’ll be a fun weekend! More details below.
Unfortunately, I can’t go everywhere. I wish I could. But I have one daughter in Year 12 who needs her mum around and we have a French exchange student arriving in mid-May (who’s currently hosting my son over in France) so I definitely need to be back home to welcome him into our family for eight weeks. Apologies if I miss your town or city this time. Hopefully I’ll have the chance to meet you sometime in the future.
There’s a good mix of events: free and paid, dinners, lunches, morning teas, cocktail events. You name it, we have it on this tour. I look forward to raising a glass with you to THE MADEMOISELLE ALLIANCE very soon.
